how are your feral kittens getting through the winter?

The couple of times I've stopped, they've been fully stocked with food. Just needed to pound the ice from the bowls and give fresh. They scatter as soon as I pull up... and watch from a distance. I get into the car and they all come galloping back for shelter.

Do they have "only works for ducks" food?

HIGHLY priced, yes. They'll eat the cracked corn and be happy with it. $3.99 for 5 pounds... which really is not all that much.

I'm not the only one that stops there, by a long shot. But I'm positive it's much fewer people during Winter given the road condition. They do not plow it, or use salt (environmental reason).

...and then if I get out of the car, they run away again.

where are you buying your cracked corn? don't you have a tractor supply?

Buying at the "super mega ultra grocery world universe"... if they had larger bags, I'm sure it would be less than (3.99/5) per pound.

Not sure about any tractor supply stores... I don't own a tractor, so it just never occurred to me.
