one of them should be suitable

Tractor Supply Co.

Why are they all located in the sticks... and NONE on the way to the zoo/park???

But thank you for the heads-up. I may make the drive OUT... and then all the way back IN. If I get 2 bags @50# each, it will be worthwhile.

We're starting the day at 60...with T-storms in the forecast this evening

We're hearing "up to 2 inches of rain" through tomorrow night. With all the snow cover, some folks 'round here are going to be facing problems. I'll just double-check the sump pump and all will be fine.

Glad you got rid of the ice dam, Bear...the melting snow and two inches of rain all stuck on the roof would have been ugly.

It's just a 2-3 square foot area that causes problems. I left everything else to nature. Husbear DID buy an 80' roof de-icer kit ( :( and :glare: ). That will just get laid down inside the gutter once it gets cleared. And now he's talking about getting one for the front gutter (much heavy-duty :glare:ing at that thought).

We had geese and ducks at a local park. The park is within about 5 miles of the airport. Out of a stated fear that the birds would take down airplanes by getting caught in the engines, the powers that be decided to take down the bird population instead. :glare: (They didn't get them all and the populations are rebounding slowly)

Maybe you could ask all those geese you feed to de-ice the roof.......

I think there are THREE - maybe 4 - of them as opposed to the HUNDREDS of ducks (yesterday).

Two white, one black. And one of the white ones has a damaged wing... so s/he's not going anywhere.

During the good weather, there are a few swans as well, but they never show interest in food. I have no idea where they go during Winter.
