This is what happens after refreshing here:

Good morning,Bear:)

Good AM, FranC.

In the same boat re: snow melt. The stuff we got Saturday/Sunday was VERY wet stuff... then it froze solid. It will take many many above-freezing days for that stuff to go away. Unlike the fluffy stuff. And yesterday's prediction of "56-62" turned out to be only 54.

What do you guys think of "Carmot Software" as a business name?

(I'm having real trouble with business names....so many are already taken...particularly in the internet age.)

P.S.
Carmot is the material the Philosopher's Stone was supposedly made from (Alchemy).

''top shelf'' taken? ;)

So... I go to pick up the two sets of dining chair cushions yesterday only to find out ONE set was done. And that was after I disassembled two more chairs and lugged the cushions to the (non-dry) cleaner.

Option 1: Take the one clean set and leave three filthy sets, yielding 1 functional chair for the next 2 weeks.

Option 2: Take the one clean set plus one filthy set back home to have 2 functional chairs, but necessitating a third round trip 4 weeks from now. Round trip = about 36 miles.

Your guess???

How many people would "get" the reference???

For those that do NOT "get it" (ie: me), how would it be pronounced??? "Car-moe"??? "Car-mot"???

Unless Stone's philosophy was ":censored: 'em all", he (she) means nothing to me.

Birmingham, Al
bring only clean cushions home and sit on husbear's lap ;)

I didn't get the Carmot reference Atty. can you go with "philospher's stone software"? I'm terrible with names (which is why i have a dog named John Doe) and even worse when I don't have a sense of what the context for the name/title is.

AAAlchemist? ;)

Things like "Dragon Software" are taken. (Just an example).
It's an abstract name, not a particular product. For an ISV, but not built around a particular product...like Twitter or FB. They started with the product and formed the business (A good way to go). But for an ISV...you need a group of developers (or just one) but need a business name to publish under. That's not the title of the app/package, it's just the publisher.

_______ Software.
