Happy "snow free" AM. Yes... we has SNOW yesterday.

KitchenAid Alert:
The 3-year-old KitchenAid coffee maker (which was a replacement for a replacement of an original purchase) decided to short out it's heater and destroy the thermostat. We arrived back home last night after being out for 4 hours to a burning/broken carafe and the beginning of the plastic around the heater melting. So... if you have a KitchenAid coffee maker, you MIGHT want to consider unplugging if going away for any length of time. (By "burning" I mean whatever coffee was left in the pot was a solid, charred stinky mess.)

wow! a very close call!

Wow, Bear. Glad you got home before worse happened.

Yep... that was my point.

But... I guess it can be said of ANY appliance that heats up. You just never know.

Maybe we were "smiled upon" because we were at a church function. And we donated. And we were being nice to old people. Who knows?!

5.5 hours (including breaks) of raking... and that is ONLY the beginning. The raking MUST be done before the first mowing and before they do the aeration. Once the lawn is full of the little dog turd-like dirt cores, there will no PROPER raking possible.

But anyway...
YAY for getting outside!!!
YAY for good exercise!!!
YAY for making some progress!!!
