got some clean-up to do but it'll have to wait apparently i made some changes to the system configure utility and am starting in diagnostic mode. heaven knows where that is but i imagine it's msconfig.

Got the back sill done. Hope to do a little side sill repair and pour pads tomorrow before the rain.

Yesterday afternoon, one of the beasties pointed out a rat on the roof, at the edge of the gutter over the back deck. It just sat there in broad daylight and stared. I went to get a broom handle to chase it away, and it didn't move, even after I almost touched its nose. Just stared at me. Since it seemed like it might have been sick, i didn't knock it off the roof, since i didn't want the beasties to catch a sick rat. It then sauntered (staggered?) slowly away over the top of the roof. Ick. Ick. Ick.

Then, later i was out front, pulling weeds, and came a cross a small, headless snake. I think that one was down to the (not feral, but still demanding breakfast) cats from across the street.

Spring critters.

ugh.

Ugh is right. That sounds like a poisoned rat. Poor thing.
