Filling a small space like a camper over the Winter (when you're not in it) is one thing....filling your whole house with them all the time....that's another thing entirely.

Snap traps. Check em regularly. Reset/re-bait em. Cheese actually works (and PB and maybe some small piece of meat like hard salami)

Make sure all wanted-beasties can't get at em though...not good eats.

@CES: MAY be good for under-house.

I've got electric traps for inside the house, but I may put some bounce sheets in closets (closets end up musty anyway). Does it have to be bounce brand or will any dryer sheet do? Since my crawl space under the house is pretty airy i don't expect that the scent of the dryer sheets would be concentrated enough to have an effect.

    probably a wasted effort here being surrounded by woods but with mau cat slacking i might have to look at other alternatives ;) seems i have an intruder even with all that steel wool in nooks and crannies

    Trade her for one of the younger cats:)
