... 5-year extended for 3-year price to soothe this savage beast

And before Atty jumps ALL OVER my merde that the correct phrase is "savage breast": My breasts were not being savage on the display floor. I kept them under a shirt, although they were heaving a bit. So, I took a liberty with the old saying. :) :D

And you know what... that "installation kit" will also get thrown in. Let's recap:

... unless this dishwasher uses the same water over and over and over, the unit MUST drain. With me so far? So please explain why a drain hose is NOT included with the unit. Is draining a costly-extra "feature"??? Is draining an option? I suppose it could just drain all over the floor. (BTW: it says the installer can NOT use the existing hose... again: why not???)

... I just checked and it will not run on batteries. So connecting to to the house electrical system is a MUST. So why is a power cord NOT included.

Most people will just accept those two things and pay with a smile. And it is THOSE people who make me the way I am. I do not "just accept" nickel and dime-ing. In this case, a drain hose and a power cord should come already coiled and attached to the dishwasher. To expect us - the consumer - to bend over and grab our ankles is insulting. I'll do THAT on my own terms, thank you very much.

ETA:
Good morning, Tibs! :)

Old hoses and old cords get...cracked...and should be replaced with a new install. However, some installs are new-ish, so they don't need them. That's why the kit is "extra/separate". Also, they may have different "length" kits depending on how far the dishwasher is from the power outlet, water supply and drain-connection. It's a YMMV thing in that case. (Well, YFMV...Footage not Mileage)

You bet'cha! And: done!

Turns out the installation kit is a water SUPPLY hose (not drain). But the concept still stands... it NEEDS WATER to work. It should be on the dishwasher as a "given" and not a costly option.

So:
... no-cost installation kit
... no-cost power cord IF NEEDED (it could be hard-wired, in which case it isn't needed)
... no-cost installation due to poor wording on the website (*)
... 5-year extended for 3-year price to soothe this savage beast

* - The website says "Delivery and installation: $139.99". Since their delivery charge is $69.99, but free during sale, that leaves $70.00. But, the sale also includes $70 toward installation. To me, that means FREE "delivery and installation". Salesman tried to tell me $139.99 is installation only. I pointed to the "and". He countered that it is is installation only. I pointed to - and spoke - the "and". He countered that it is installation only. So, I said "OK"... add it on... but I would later take it up to a higher level... not HIS fault for bad wording. I gave him that much. But he ended up issuing a credit for the $69.99, so it all worked out. I will still be contacting their main Customer Service about the wording. It is confusing and misleading.

:) :) :) :) :)

I should start a "Consumer Stand Your Ground" course.

Good dickering getting them to throw it in. You're right about the nickel-and-dime thing.
