we have rain in the forecast today too. But we still need it, so it's a good thing. Supposed to cool down too..they're calling the cool down a "polar vortex". Apparently polar in July = 60 degrees at night for a couple of days (it's 74 with 98% humidity now)

Heading down to the island this weekend. Just found out that the annual deep sea fishing rodeo is also going on this weekend. It's a big thing. Means there will be a huge amount of traffic on the single road getting on to the island and down to the sea lab.
the island just isn't that big. I just hope that everyone is out on their boats at the time we arrive.

By the time i returned from the island in May, ECF was unblocked in the classrooms, but not in the faculty housing (even though i log on to the same wireless system in both locations). It may take me a few days to get it unblocked at the location where i actually have time to check in.
