Hmmm... 3rd year in a row with a double-digit % increase for driveway sealing... +13% for 2014.
I wasn't aware of petroleum products having wild increases in cost. My last gas purchase ($/gal) is +2% versus same time last year.
Must be the raise in minimum wage.

bear, I hope the increase in sealing doesn't mean it's the same for getting actual new asphalt put down. Mad'O needs a new driveway!

I would assume EVERYTHING has gone up.
Dreading the year of "the new driveway" which is why I do everything possible to keep the current one looking good. This past winter was very damaging... LOTS of decent-sized cracks. I usually get a few gallon jugs of the really THICK sealer / crack-repair stuff and get out there with a small squeegee to fill in the problem areas. Then, HAVE it sealed. No way I (we? lol!) want to do it my(our)selves.
Just hope the car does not get sideswiped again while waiting for the sealer to cure. Guess it will just have to be pulled further up onto the lawn this time.
Of course asphalt has gone up. There's a major "fix the roads" thing going on. You don't think they're sitting around quietly letting prices stay low, do you?

get an email off and keep it as proof depending on how hk responds. and why are you talking to pp - somewhere in the receipt there's a button for starting a claim
i expected even more requests for replacements - IF the dye job was fine then there were still only 8 perfect backs to be had. namely, the top back in each bundle of 5, all the others were scratched
