Not to be argumentative (LOL!!!) but:

https://www.google.com/search?q=par...1&safe=off&tbm=isch&ei=I9jcU8LBOoSSyATkrYDwCw

I see no "tents" in any of those images. "SUMPTUOUS" or otherwise.

Yes... I too hope it is successful for the "cat lady". I'd feel badly for her if just a few people show up.

Not sure what will happen if the forecast lightning storms come through. We'll get wet, I suppose. Or, move into the restaurant... which, according to Casino Gal-Pal, is a semi-glorified biker bar during the riding months. Hmmm... that could be interesting. I'll bring a camera!!!

Good morning Atty :) I wonder if i want try to find that thread. On second thought, nah...cause it's probably outside and science will be conflated with politics...

Bear, I think your definitions are correct for current usage, but i just wanted to be contrary about the origins/derivation ;) Somehow either definition along with a glorified biker bar seems a little, um, disconcerting.

Can you change the font color and use the color cartridge, Tibs? Pretty pink invoices ;)

Surprisingly, it's not political in this thread (well this part of the thread. It's the 'cool science' thread.)
However, Morph is trying to bull-doze me into violating the conservation-of-energy principal common to standard-model physics and even quantum physics. And is throwing all sorts of "info" and "proof" at me. And I still think he's wrong. But I'm not a scientist, and particularly not a physicist. So I tire of that stuff quickly.

The TOPIC though, was about a new "space drive" system that doesn't have any propellant and somehow just "magically" pushes against the quantum foam. Some % of input energy is just "translated" into motion. If true (and it's highly dubious right now) it's a real cool revolution in propulsion. My comments on the subject just prove that A) I'm not a scientist and B) I'm easily distracted by "shiny new theories". ;)

Hey Bear...

As long as you're into fainting...

Toxins contaminate drinking water in northwest Ohio

IDK where you get your water in your part of NY (Lake Ontario, well water?). Many cities around me get it from lake Michigan.

However, the lower part of Lake Erie near Ohio has that nasty algae bloom. See article above.

Just an FYI. Lake Erie is/was very polluted anyway. They're in a sad situation if they are drinking it. So many cities in the midwest use lake water...this is why we need to try and keep it clean. It is the shallowest and has the lowest volume of all of them and this probably promotes heat and algae growth (along with natural and man-made contaminates).

No... Lake Ontario is where everything LEAVES the Rochester metro area. We (our town) gets it from Hemlock Lake... a name that does not instill good feelings when it comes to drinking water! :)

12 minutes to shove-off time! :) I hope there are no adoptable kitties there. It could be dangerous.
