G'mornin, snails!

Riots and l00ting are dumb...:glare:

The latest I heard...
1) The "kid" (18 yo) was in the back of a cruiser at some point. One shot was fired inside the car, hitting neither of them.
2) Supposedly, kid was trying to take cop's gun. Was fighting.
3) Another "witness" says the kid had his hands up outside the car and the cop just shot him down.

So, was he a bad-azz and fighting the cop for his gun? Was he just "gunned down"? Why would a cop bother gunning someone down if they were cooperating and already in custody?

So called "unarmed kid" was 18 yo guy fighting with a cop. Or not.
Crazy stuff. IDK what happened.
I'm pretty sure a professional copy should not end up having to gun a "kid" down. But I don't know the specifics. Does show the need for backup for cops.

So you get the inevitable riots.........

at least you'd be prepared for the next time ;) and you could check up on the repairs being performed! hopefully, this problem is covered under your extended blanket warranty!

Heard from dealer... tech says it *IS* the key (the one I was using)... given a choice:

1. Get a new key, have them program it, pay full shot (since "key repair" is not covered under warranty... I'd have to make a lot of noise). About $250. Have car in a few hours.
2. Have them install new ignition module, get 2 new keys with it. $50 deductible in-warranty. No car until tomorrow AM.

Went with #2 (obviously) but I'm still dubious about the diagnosis. It does not explain the steering wheel not being locked. I sense - and look forward to - a call tomorrow saying the car will still not start and they need to do more work.

I just want to puke.

I hate to speculate, but I have a hard time thinking that investigators will have any success obtaining factual, reliable, eye-witness accounts of what really went on. I thought I'd read yesterday that Michael Brown was walking in the street with one other person.

I just wanna say that recent social media "input" reminds me of older movies that tried to paint a picture of what the future would be like. *SIGH*

Yeah, CNN or NBC or some major news site reported yesterday that there was a shot inside the cop car. So..........

I can't make any sense of it. It's tragic. Not exactly riot-level tragic, IMHO. After all, it's "Iffy" at best, no camera, lack of unbiased witnesses...

But....That guy they choked to death in NY...THAT was "riotable" IMHO!
