I already told him i probably wasn't cooking. But there are also now several restaurants within walking distance. Nothing fancy, but with good food.

they sure were! raleigh/durham also had flooding overnight - stroke of luck, the boy's neighborhood was not affected

It's been rainy dreary here the last two days...I guess I just "blended them"
I knew it too....since yesterday was "Patch Tuesday"...(BTW)
it will be good to see my brother- and i suspect that he'll be just as happy to not eat my cooking. Though we might have to see if my gas grill is still useable after 4-5 years.

Popping back in for a second....
It's particularly important to check gas grill venturi vents (where there's a gap that sucks air into the stream of gas...follow the hose and "pipes" from the tank to the burners) for spider webs and bug nests BEFORE you just go and "try it". Particularly if they've been sitting around a while.
This is so you don't "go boom" or have to redecorate your siding or rebuild your deck/house....
