An electrical circuit went out in my kitchen this morning. It just died without tripping the breaker. I had just plugged in a mini carpet cleaner to clean up the mess left when the dog who was obsessively licking the rugs yesterday evening barfed up hairballs overnight. (i dunno why, perhaps he was trying to help vacuum? )
Luckily my coffee was done brewing and my brother (and maybe a nephew) will arrive tonight and should be able fix it tomorrow.
