Procedures? Any idea?

Curious.

I'm surprised it's that far off. Wondering what you think. Maybe it is that off........

The test kits can be fairly accurate, but it's hard to know whether there is user error. It is possible that the nic isn't fully distributed through the carrier in the large batch so the smaller bottles are then off.

I'd suggest retesting at least twice more, to see how much variability there is between tests.

I think i'd also order only from nic vendors that are willing to provide a certificate of analysis.

Leaving for the airport as soon as the cab gets here.

You know what they say...when it rains......

So the GF's computer just crapped out. Her battery-backup-power-supply (UPS) fried and maybe took out her computer. She bypassed the UPS and still a no-go. If I'm/she's real lucky it's just a fuse on the computer's power supply unit. Sigh. Going there to check. That's what I get for posting rain pics.

Laterz!

ah, poor atty! ;) but you didn't post just a rain picture but rather a ''singing in the rain'' one - big difference! so, just concentrate on spending time with your gf, never mind the occasion! ;)

Well, not a fuse.

I was able to "trick" it into powering on...so she can complete a backup and pay bills. Now...to sink $$$ into diagnostics and replacement parts for an 8 year old computer???? She's thinking of getting a new desktop.

When PSU's fail...it can cause strange down-stream problems....so when you swap out the PSU for a new one...you find other problems.

This system reset when the MoBo was unplugged and plugged in "hot". lol. Not something you want to do all the time... but it's the only way to trick the PSU's "trouble detector" enough to be able to use the system. The standard methods didn't do anything. Grrrrrr.....
