OK... this has been chewing away at me for a few days. There's a thread in Outside where this may fit, but I'm not going there. Instead, I will remain cozy in this somewhat safe area. And, hey... it's Friday.
So, we were watching TV the other night... I believe it was WE TV and the show was "Will and Grace". (As an aside, I never watched it when it was "in vogue"... just started a few weeks ago. I love Karen!!!
) Anyway... WE TV... in English (as is ALL their programming). What appears during a commercial break?... an ad TOTALLY in Spanish. You know... I really wanted to punch a hole in the television screen. I did not even catch what the product was, or anything... I could not even SEE straight (which is appropriate, I guess, while watching "Will and Grace").
So, yeah. Call me racist.
Tell me I need to "embrace diversity".
If I want to see commercials in Spanish, I'll tune in to Univision or Telemundo.
That is all.

It was not an "error" in the control room, as that commercial ran again yesterday. I managed to see it was for a shoe website "something-or-other-FAB" or "FAB-something-or-other". I need to investigate for the correct name so I can fire off an eMail to WE TV. I'm not sure, but I believe they do have an SAP sub-channel where that commercial belongs. They can air the English version during English programming.

Yep... that is true. I honestly am unable to recall the last commercial that ranked 6 or higher on the Bear-O-Meter 10-point scale (and there HAVE been a few). Even those... they never made me want to run out and buy the product or service.
I tend to channel surf during commercials to see what I might be missing elsewhere in the spectrum
