Tibs, one thing they can do is make a fitted splint that will protect the tip of the finger as well as hold it steady while it heals. It also gives you an in to get pinky PT so you keep movement, and they might be able to tell if there is any nerve damage, or occlusion of the blood supply that might interfere with proper healing...just sayin' )

I should have clarified: "search thread".

I am having a friend, who is a voodoo High Priestess, doing a rain and wind dance for this evening's weather. Put some bad juju on Mother Nature.

Your high priestess may have some decent luck getting that to happen, considering that the remnants of Sandy are still hanging around. I think i'm just not gonna be home.

ces, that pinkie was badly damaged years ago by a rescue rottweiler trying to get a treat and my hand all at once! and left my pinkie barely hanging on, lol.

ecf is not the only problem for me this am - no overseas calls are going through, constant busy signal, and it's my brother's birthday .... sigh
