I don't know how or when it happened, but vapemails are scheduled to be delivered to my house on Black Friday, w00t!

G'nite to the earlier-than-me-sleepers...I'll be around at various points throughout Gobble Gobble.

BTW, anyone here use Nichrome?
Not me...I'm using Kanthal. I know some folks have moved to other wires like Rene as well....

Back. Goodnight snails.

~~~~ @ all!
merde, guess there'll be no deviled eggs tomorrow unless somebody here can save the day :( those eggs won't peel for nothing. i have never have seen anything like it. by the time i gett the shells off the eggs looks as if the had a visit from an army of mice!
I assume you put them in a bowl of ice water before peeling, yes? Still didn't work? :(
Cook with sodium bicarb....
IDK if that throws off the taste though.
There's a bunch of tips in the comments too....poking a hole with a pin in the round end before boiling!
Rolling the egg around before peeling....
I use Kanthal A1
Some have worried about materials in other wire. But IDK the specifics. "Used to be" everyone recommended Kanthal as the best (maker?) type of wire. A1 is probably the chemistry of it too....mix of metals.
Something about chromium in the other wire not being bound up the same....IDK. It's that smart people stuffis. After a while I just trust that Kanthal is the best until I hear differently.
Good night Fran and Atty.
Mad, is the XC-116 kiln treated? There's some sort of covering on it that needs to be burned off (you probably already know that, but thought I would mention it)
If you keep talking like that, you get cracks in your avatar. Just say'n. ;)
Goodnight again guys.
Indeed...I purchased it from RBA Supplies.com. He's extended the deal through the week.
................... :D
I use nichrome and kanthal a1. The nichrome has a bit less resistance than the same gauge kanthal a1 (I use 32g). Other than that there's no difference that I can tell.
Ha! The white dots show up on my screen! :p
Thx for the bit about the difference in resistance - I'm not going for sub-ohm or anything. I have an idea in mind for a build on my genny and that may prove beneficial. Of course, I may get started on it and give up in frustration, LOL.
