That does sound excessive. I actually lived in Georgia for a short time in my childhood....it marked me for life!
I suppose that being as far north as you are, there aren't too many opportunities for you to drive through GA.
You have to drive around it to get to Florida. We've been invited. No desire to fly.
Maybe he should just let you drive that part instead of going all the way around...
There are some really nice parts of FL...I like the Keys in particular
But I don't like Miami or Ft. Lauderdale very much.
For me, it's scorpions....and the scorpions in Florida are pretty big. We saw some while eating outside, and I stood on the chair until I couldn't see it any more
