Brrrr, snails!

Ok, I sped-read from my last post up to page 1993 and decided to just throw down a post...

We got a lot of snow; for my neck of the woods, at least. I managed to shovel some snow using one crutch and the shovel as the other. As I was running out of steam, someone across the street slipped pretty badly and they had to call an ambulance. :( That was my queue to quit doing something stupid. :blush:

It's 11°F right now and tomorrow's high is supposed to be 0°F. What in tarnation?!?!

Thanks for the peekabo addition, stone!

tibs, I have a snow-day from work tomorrow so I think there's a good chance I'll show up! :lol: However, I do need to make it to the hospital for an MRI.

Ok, I'm gonna do some more back-reading...:D

~~~~~ Mad. Hang in there. Glad you quit trying to kill yourself while shoveling.
It's blowing and drifting so bad here I didn't bother. The walkway was clear a day or two ago. Now full. Keeps it quiet. lol.
The kind neighbor across the road (God bless him) plowed out the driveway with his big rig (a large front loader). The Jeep can get through it, but still, it's nice to have it plowed.
I'm worried about the other neighbor that helps plow...haven't seen him in a while. :( Like way before Christmas. Google search turned up nothing. Could call, of course, but I don't want to appear "nosy".
Oh, and of course...
"Poor Geoff..."
Hi Criticalmass
lol.
Good summary Stone.
GF brought some stuff (maybe 1/2 hers, but if she/kid threw mine out, I just may keep it ;) ) lol. But on the bright side, the wall is fixed. Got it together, Stone! (no paint yet). Grrrr.
Dinner turned out good. GF enjoyed it. She's braving the storm to go get dog food. For the record, I offered to give her some....
Sorry about the Puppy Fudgey. That's so sad. They can get into trouble so easily. Quick little bsteds. Hope he grows out of it and heals up without major long-term damage. Odd they didn't have to do anything though. At least some kind of brace to keep stuff in place...IDK. Maybe not that type of break. Who knows. Did they give him any pain meds if not some calming stuff?
Good luck with the bird, Tibs.
We're buried here. Not the first time though.
Nothing they can do, it just has to heal on it's own. They didn't give him anything but if it gets to where we can't keep him calm enough we will have to get him some doggie downers. The vet has no idea how hyper this dog is, he bounces like tigger when we get home and when he plays. For now we have to crate him and put him on a leash when he goes outside.
