the bright side of snow that sticks is that everything closes....

'cause we don't actually have the equipment to deal with it...the best they can do is put sand on the icy spots, and no one (including me) knows how to drive in it.

I know how to drive in snow, Chris, but I don't like doing it. It's very slippery and one could easily lose control of their vehicle if they aren't very careful.

I learned to drive in ohio, where there was snow....and then i moved and stayed as far south as it is possible to do. I no longer know how- other than the theories of don't slam on your breaks, and steer into the (inevitable) skid...

But ... but ... but, snow on the road makes turns so much FUNNER!!!

we called that "doing doughnuts" and it was preferable to do it in an empty parking lot

And have good all weather or snow tires on your car. Chains are even better, but are not allowed in some states.

Even better than that, move to Alabama and avoid the white stuff, altogether.
