Wow I'm not sure if he could manage that but I will keep it in mind if needed. It's his hips that provide the most pain along with the damn sciatica. He has bad arthritis in his wrists and part of his hands too. Bone spurs in both thumbs. It's never=ending it seems. His hands felt some better today also.
frannie, not sure if this will be possible for dh - but i did hurt my back quite a bit falling on ice years ago. what i do if there's too much pain i lay on the floor in front of something as high as the length of my thighs (ottoman works for me) up go my legs forming 2 90 degree angles - from ottoman to thighs, from thighs to floor. this takes all stress away from the spine and just a nap like this helps tremendously
