A NOTE OF CAUTION: Shoveling heavy snow can cause a heart attack.:)

That is why we call it "heart attack" snow. I like to think of it as exercise as long as the wind is not whipping and the temps are not single numbers. It's still 32 here... so that does make it very wet snow. I'm in OK shape to shovel... it's the back I am most concerned about.

almost done! ;)

but nasty news in the mesh thread :( catt, read my post ;) PLEASE!

If I knew what I know now about coops now, I wouldn't have gotten involved with them. While I had a pleasant experience dealing with "soulfree" here at ECF for an AGA-T2, I found out I could buy the same device for about the same price from a vendor without any liability. It looks like I have about a 50/50 chance of getting my merchandise in the other coop, but again, why take the risk when I could have bought the item from a reputable vendor for 8 dollars more.

I would only consider getting involved in another coop if that was the only way I could get the item or substantial savings; however, I would not invest/risk more than $50 in any coop.

In reference to the coop where I have not received my merchandise ($30 involved), I have no intention of doing anything other than wait to see if I get it. Sometimes you have to cut your losses and move on. It would cost me more to chase after bad money.

pepper, this was an excellent price for us-made 500 mesh. 130 members got their order, myself included. 70 left out in the cold ......

It was an excellent price for 130 members, only. Now consider the time you have invested in that "excellence price," and it's no longer an "excellent price."--and you're still dealing with it and who knows for how long.

I purchased a 6" x 12" 500 mesh from Steam Monkey for $5.00. I went to the site and pushed a button and it was a my door step in 3 days--done. Considering how long that will last me at a nominal fee, it was an 'excellent price" and I took no risk. My time is more important to me than going thru the hassle of trying to save a couple bucks and still not knowing whether I'm going to get what I paid for.
Coops for the most part are a sham.--IMHO.:)
