Using 4 AAA NiMHs, I was having a 0.9V drop under power - voltage from batteries 5.6V, voltage at atty while firing 4.7V (4.8V) with a 3ohm CE2.

I believe I did a test of a 1.8ohm DCC on a Puck and the voltage drop was even more. Not sure how 1 AA is working, although supposedly the Eneloop NiMHs will deliver at least 10A

Hmmmm.... I don't have any of the "Duraloop" batteries - these seem to be the low-self-discharge batteries. I guess my NiMHs are the ones to be avoided :D

Nope, happy with my cheapy EH IMRs in my Robust and Vamo; but ... nope, no buts :glare:

I think I'm reaching the end of my experimental phase. I may play around with the low ohms a little, just because I picked up some 28g from kwalka's co-op. And I'll probably, very occasionally pick up a couple of juices to try. But I think I've settled comfortably into mods-atties-juice with the Vamo/Robust-Kangers-my peppermint. I got the 'mod building' pretty much out of my system now and any desire to tinker can be handled by the re-coiling.

Overall, I think I'm a pretty happy vaper ATM :)

Meh. I've done puck-ish stuff. There's a new round of new-chem NiMH batteries out I guess.

It's still a mini-puck but over-stressed. If he had any smarts, he'd wire an all mech "puck-ish box" with 6 cells in 2x3 setup so he had plenty of amps and 3.6 volts. But I'm not telling him. 72 watts is way overkill...simply no need for it.

He's thinks he's at .1 ohms! Even with the above he's still need a .18 ohm coil...

* WARNING * Not even sure that works... Didn't check the series specs for amps for NiMH....

ETA:
Should work. Like this...only 3 cells in series to get 3.6 volts and 20 amps:

Don't get me going about his "Hot button" comment....
