Hi CES and everyone...waving!!! Hi!

::waving back::

Yeah... It just bakes for 10 or 15 minutes because it has egg yolks in it and the FDA recommends baking it. And all recipes say to bake it. However, your implied point is correct...the original was not baked as I understand it. It also had a "real" crust, rather than the graham cracker crust I use. It also had meringue...which I omit. I sometimes put whipped cream on top, but I'm more of a custard purist.

Yep- the good stuff. not that weird jello wanna be stuff :)

5 Teens Killed In Fiery Newport Beach Car Crash ID’d « CBS Los Angeles

Hi y'all. I hesitated whether to share this with you, but this stuff is happening all the time everywhere. If you have teenage kids, please talk to them. You don't need to read the article--the title says it all.

We just found out the details yesterday afternoon. The driver was my daughter's classmate...

Sorry to hear about this Katya. It's unfortunate that this has happened since teenagers and cars first mixed. The senior class two years ahead of mine had 4 missing graduating members because their car went off an extremely steep incline here in town and all of them died. 2 seniors in my oldest son's graduating class wrecked on the way to graduation. It's sad.

Three weeks before graduation.

It's always speed, booze or texting.

Or a combination thereof. What gets me is the texting. My oldest did a class speech on texting while driving that I helped him prepare. Even just talking on the phone while driving impairs your judgement as much or more than being drunk. Wish people, especially young ones, didn't think they were invincible.

I know. This is what scares me. You talk to them, the teachers talk to them, they know it's happening--nothing seems to work. No imagination.

Two of the passengers in that car were sisters--the only kids that family had.

Sorry, didn't mean to dump all that sorrow on you...

and nothing will work .............. sigh
don't you remember? we were skating by on our luck, at least i was. there is very little fear at that age

laterzzzzz, tweety! i'm running late with supper here ....................

BTW, I have an implant--I had an iffy molar, we considered a root canal and a cap, I decided not to waste my time on that. I'm very happy with my decision. The surgery wasn't bad--they give you Propofol--Michael Jackson's special they call in here in CA--you just need a ride to the surgeon's office and back.
