Fall is getting to your neck of the woods too.
After i teach this morning, I'm going to a 2-day mini conference. Since it's being held at a place (about an hour out of town) with poor cell phone service and probably without wireless internet, i may be hiking in the woods in the morning rather than checking in here. I'll see y'all in a day or so

We have a neighbor/friend that lives half way down the hill. She had multiple back surgeries recently and still has a draining wound in her back. A nurse comes to change the bandage 3 times a week but can't come for the 3rd change this week. She asked me to do it since no one else will. LOL. I'm sure it's not the worse thing I've seen in my life. I'll do it.

I guess with all this "designing" and building stuff in the lab, the mod bug has sorta crawled out
Put together a dual-output power supply as a sorta, possible back-up for the lab power supply (highly doubt that it would pass a safety inspection; not that I believe it to be unsafe). But for ~$20 (if that), I put together something that approximates a $500+ unit.

Yep, frost warning for overnight tonight in the "metro area". But we're too close to the lake for that. It'll have to get a LOT colder for it to happen sur la propriété. And, I wouldn't care anyway... it's getting close to the time for prepping the yard for Winter.
