You're in a semi-rural area, yes? Maybe you should consider beekeeping as a pastime. You could prep/learn/setup this fall/winter season and be all ready for spring.

Then you could put the statue (?) nearby.

We need bees.

I've been thinking about it, but people close to the prospective hive location are allergic to bee stings.
