T3 = Kanger bcc (2.5mL) - base screws off the tank for filling; T3 base and head are one unit
T3S = Kanger bcc (2.5mL) - base screws off the tank for filling; T3S base and head are separate units, you keep the base and just replace the head. Kangers upgrade of the T3.

I16s (and I30s) are top-coils.

Made it through the black forest of 8.1 update. A "Hurry up and wait" exercise. But fairly smooth.

There are some days that I really hate Microsoft. Like, for example, today.
Just about had to reinstall my entire Windows OS again. Managed to recover the locked computer. Stupid Atty/User syndrome. For future reference for those installing the 8.1 update: It talks you into setting up a "windows account". What isn't immediately obvious, is that your login gets changed too. So if you set up a super-secure password and use a password manager on your computer (like I do) because it's an internet thing....WRITE IT DOWN ON PAPER. Or better yet..find a way around it. Because if you get stupid like me, and set up a strong password...and put it in your password manager, you won't be able to login after the system reboots unless you know the password. And you can't get to the login manager without logging in. And it's not obvious that your login process will change (although I should have thought of that. Probably says something somewhere if you read it all.)
Once you get logged in, you can switch back to using a local account (like I've always done).
I won't detail how I managed to reset the password for the windows account and login to MY OWN COMPUTER but hey....it was fun.

He's trying to convince me I should start smoking again. And with the morning I just had (see above) I could have fallen for it. 3+ years smoke free would have gone poof.

Atty.... on the Kanger T3/T3S (don't think this was mentioned) you can use the knurled base and coil of the T3S on the T3. The T3S coils are a bit less expensive than the one unit T3's. On regular eGo's - I like the 1.8Ω coils for strong flavors and the 2.2Ω coils for lighter flavors. On the Twist or vv's of course it doesn't matter

I'm not a 'rebuilder' but "they say" that's another advantage of the T3S over the T3 - easier rebuild/rewick.....
If you like them, and want more, one suggestion and this really depends on if you're using VV or standard eGo/Riva/Kanger (ie. 3.7 V batts regulated or not)... Good Prophets offer the units with the 1.8 ohm coil (heaven gifts does too) and almost all other vendors have the 2.4-2.6 (meters at 2.82Ω) coils 'oem' and they are useless for my flavors.
So get the 1.8ohm unit and buy some 1.8Ω and 2.2Ω coils for replacements. heaven gifts has the best prices usually and they now offer DSL shipping. I have a discount there from years of 'point gathering' lol from purchases... so if I need bulk, I go there. I've made mistakes along the way but buying from HG wasn't one of them.
eta: BTW, (and for future reference) the T3S coil is a 'universal donor'* - it fits T3, MT3 (with base), MT3S, Protank, Protank minis, eVods. The "protank/eVod" coils do not fit the T3S/MT3S.
*And the Baby T3 from sun vapors - same as the T3 but smaller (1.6ml vs. 3ml for the T3)
- anyway the Baby T3 will take the base connector of the T3S
... BUT with the protank/evod coil. The T3S coil doesn't fit it.

The changeable heads on the bccs (Kanger Evod, T3S, Protank; Anyvape Davide; etc) seem to mostly be the same design. Similar to the Vivi Novas (from what I've seen), just with a removeable "stove pipe" stuck on top - so, yep definitely rebuildable.
On another note, tried 'stretching' out the top cap of my Davide Mini to fit the replacement tubes. Didn't go real well. Split the bottom edge of the cap and tubes still don't fit. . Cosmetic damage only, still works. Gonna go shopping this evening .
