bear, i gotta run! mad just had leg surgery and is still in the suffering stage!![]()
And just to get this out of the way...
I (supposedly) clicked "confirm and check out" on a NY silver-level ACA plan that qualifies for "CSR" (cost sharing reduction). After subsidy, it is $100.80 per month. Just a few of the details:
... ZERO deductible
... $1000 max annual out of pocket
... $100 hospital co-pay
... $10 PCP co-pay
... $6 / 15 / 30 prescription co-pay
... 5% durable medical equipment co-insurance
... etc etc etc reasonable/good bennies
I decided to not zero in on the Medicaid route, although I will STILL entertain myself with the application process... just to find out what it's really like. One of the two major providers in the area kicked all adult Medicaid recipients to the curb a couple weeks ago. They are scrambling to find another provider (with the majority going to the OTHER provider, I would ASSUME) and are faced with losing their current doctor(s). I figure the provider that is still in the game will follow suit and dump all their adult recipients some time soon. For me, being able to keep my PCP is of utmost importance. So... while I would love to save ($100.80*12)+(co-pays+co-insurance), I think I will take a pass for peace of mind.
Now, with that all said... clicking "confirm and check out" provided NO feedback. No "congratulations", no "thank you", no confirmation or indication at all. So, I clicked again. Still nothing. I called the Hotline to inquire. THEY clicked my "confirm and check out" and saw nothing... and they tried it again. (Recap: 4 "confirm and check out"s so far, right?) Two days ago, I go in and see where I have signed up EIGHT times. EIGHT. I have EIGHT silver ACA policies now. Not 4 (like you might imagine due to the piece ofwebsite)... not just 1 (if they had any dupe-check in place). EIGHT. I can now only begin to imagine the horrors and terrors that await trying to get THAT all straightened out.
Well, the coverage and rate aren't bad at all!![]()
Heh heh...not that fresh!!Ooooo!!! Fresh meat!!!
