lol, stop bagging up all that good nutrition! chopped up leaves make an excellent supplement! ;)

But not when "the choppings" are so thick that it suffocates the lawn underneath.

I don't mind raking, really. It's good exercise*. And it'll all be a memory in about 2 weeks.

The catch is having good weather to do the final clean-up.

* - I still have not made an "official announcement" here for fear of jinxing.

There's no cure for numb,Bear.

How are their visits being encouraged???

We got this note today regarding an annual "event" this Saturday:

Meet at my house at 5:30PM prior to the annual thanksgiving dinner.

We'll leave here at about 6PM so we can be at the church at 6:15PM for the 6:30PM dinner.

We'll then return here to collect cars afterwards.

So, my reply was:

"I take it we will not get together to visit afterward like, always, in past years?"

You can take two things away from that discourse, FranC:

1. It was their hint to GET LOST without saying it.

2. I took the opportunity to lay a guilt trip on them.

Does you company pull a #2 on you??? If not, then pull a #1 on them.

ETA:
There is NO WAY in hell we can get to the dinner by 6:30 if we leave at 6:00. Ain't gonna happen. So, husbear and I will just go directly there... and scarf up the "bake sale" goodies. (Not that I eat any of them, except if they have something with chocolate and coconut.)

And this year, we will not have to share them afterward.

:censored: 'em!!!

ETA2:
Just occurred to me... nothing mentioned about pre-dinner drinks as in past years either!!! GOOD! I won't have to spend anything for a contributory bottle of wine!!! Good!!! And lug it over there!

Afternoon tweety et the rest of the snails!

So I had my stitches removed this morning, w00t! All 26 of them  ; 24 on the back of the leg & 2 on the front. Now I have to hurry up and wait another 4 weeks for the latest round of swelling to go down before my next appointment. It seems the Dr. has switched gears away from the bone and has started to focus on ligament damage; she expects to order an MRI at the next check-up.

Word to the wise: if you break your leg and end up needing titanium bits to fix it, wait at least a year before you doing anything stupid enough to re-break it, thereby requiring moar fixing with titanium bits. SMH

So glad to hear you're feeling better, Mad! Are you still in pain?

Hello, Stone!

Thx tweets! Nope, no more pain, really...now it's just annoying discomfort; particularly, with this new brace I have. It's kinda straightening out the leg some more, believe it or not! LOL
