Whoa...so you're saying that you and/or tweety have/has been more of a ProVari proponent than The Ocelot? Hehe, I know better than to mention anything in the context of "longevity" when in the presence of, and when referring to, females.

Oh boy, I should just stop...I think I've managed to simultaneously Stir the Pot and Dig a Hole for Myself.

Time to punch the afterburners on this pseudo-flyby! :D

PS I'm gonna buy a bwonze mini w/gween led

ETA: Hi Fran!

Bwahahaha... No, she means we have seniority.

Well, no...

...the insurance companies?... who then just pass the $$$ cost to policy holders?
...the government at the expense of the tax payers?

It ain't gonna be free! And it ain't coming out of HIS pocket, that's for sure.

It always comes out of our pockets, Bear. That's the problem--no matter who pays--on paper.

It only affected 5%. It wasn't saying that they won't re-write policies due to the new regs. Or that they would cost the same.

Many of the people that are B-ing are still being offered policies...but they are different policies due to new rules. The ones that don't get their "old insurance company" anymore are about 5%.

I don't believe he caved this way. Dang haters won't be happy until they destroy him then kill off 10% of America and wave the flag doing it. Grrrrr.

There's another guy in another thread says his insurance is 3x higher. Sure...because he basically didn't have anything but catastrophic before. Duh. Welcome to the real world. He was taking a free ride (well taking chances) on the public's dime.

And we're already paying for people without insurance. So don't give me the "we pay" stuff like it's a new thing.

Same type of lug-heads that think they can send their kids to private schools and not pay for public ones. Or only pay for the roads they drive on. Or that taxes should go to stuff they don't like so they should pick and choose what they pay for. It's idiocy. Sure, maybe you got a discount before because you didn't need maternity coverage. But that doesn't mean it was proper to charge others more so you could get a discount. That's not how taxes work. That's not how insurance works. Never has been. Never will be. Never should have been.

Welcome to reality. And the games they played. Healthcare is the biggest cash cow in the country. More than big oil. More than cigs. More than pharma alone. There's a lot of money and special interest trying to mess this up and they've come very close to succeeding. Yet, I think it will change and recover.

(I just can't help it. Sorry. Going away again.)

Same with the lug-head news! Brian Williams and gang had a report showing a stone sculpter complaining that his policy went up $100 per month. Sure I get it. Nobody likes a rate increase.

But they sold it like "he couldn't keep his old policy". COMPLETE BUNK.

They showed the cancellation letter that said "Your policy has been cancelled because it didn't meet standards" but... it also said "We have you covered for 2014". So he CAN keep his old insurance (not the exact same policy, but same company, same type of thing just within the new guidelines).

Your car insurance policy gets re-written every 6 months to a year! And includes regular changes from your state's insurance board. But do they mention "that's how insurance works"? NO! They slam ACA and such because they don't want to cover the actual story, they want sensationalism and ratings. Not truth. Not discussing anything at length. If it doesn't make a 10 second sound bite...they can't/won't cover it. Grrrrrr.

And the guy stands there saying (cue sad look in face) "I just want my old policy". When you KNOW it's a political issue to him.

Where's the guy saying "Wow...now they actually have to cover stuff!"????? Did they show him? Nope.

lol, atty! calm down again and your opinion is always welcome ;)

but this plan was so messed with for so long by anti-Obama people that it is the best they could push through! now don't huff and puff - i firmly believe in health care for all. And we'll get it eventually but we'll have to modify it a little at a time :D And the Republicans will try and take credit for "fixing" it when they messed it up so hard to begin with.
