Yes, and I should get outside and start lawn clean-up. :censored:-hag friend says her ex may show up today to reattach the piece of siding, but I'm not holding my breath. I'll either end up doing it myself (crawling on hands and knees on the roof) or just saying ":censored: it!" and letting it go. It can only be seen from a very small angle. (I'm just concerned about wind and moisture getting into the open space and down behind the lower siding.)

It's always something.
If it's not one thing, it's another.

THAT is why Kat's karma was all messed up! It's YOU! She had to go through all that to warn you about water damage!!!!!!! And she posted it. And you're STILL considering letting it go.

You should be able to find someone if you don't do it. Just make sure someone else is around to "spot" you in case there's a problem.

The piece is "only" about 2 feet at the widest point (it's the "peak" piece) and way up and under an eave. It's not THAT exposed. But it is on the prevailing wind side of the house. And it looks trashy (if you're in the right right right spot to see it). It's the "trashy" thing that bothers me the most.

Lots of things are "wrong" about that correlation. It's just that, for some strange reason, pictures of female neuroscientists working on a brain are hard to come by in popular media......

You could Photoshop it.

OK... I have GOT to get moving!

Later!... during breaks.

Maybe I'm out of line....IDK

I re-read my post. Guess I didn't fubar after all. It's in the proper order of events. My reply to another poster edited.

That's no fun.

You see, folks have dubbed Phish "the new Grateful Dead." Some have even been tasteless enough to suggest that Jerry Garcia's death was the best thing that ever happened to them.

"Everyone was saying, 'God, you guys are really gonna go over the top now!" says drummer Jon "Fish" Fishman. 'And I kept saying, I really don't think that's going to happen--there is no next Garcia."

In fact, Phish are united in agreement that Deadheads have not defected en masse to the Phish cause.

Guess we're gonna havta change the saying to "They were going at it like cardinals"

I wish that was true-to-observation. There is always one pair that hang around year-'round (I'm sure it's not the SAME pair - but they are territorial and you'll rarely see multiple pair in a small area) but never any baby cardinals. I moved two feeders yesterday and there were no visitors all day, at all, until dusk when they showed up... they found the new spots.

Bag #29 done.

the only place where I'm partly convinced that nicotine might cause problems is in bone healing- mostly because there are some studies that show the mechanism. But even with those, not every study shows an effect. The positive effects of nicotine on angiogenesis are pretty well documented, and that's a good thing in most cases. I personally wouldn't worry too much about the effects of nic for surgery that's not related to bone stuff.

(I almost posted my response here, instead of on the thread Mad linked, but then i figured that there was enough misinformation on the thread that I'd go ahead and let it be ignored there)

Thanks CES. All I can say is that I'm unhappy with the direction in which medical practice has been steered over the past 25 years or so (any longer and I'd lose credibility for knowing squat at that age) and I blame quite a bit of that on litigiousness!

Man, I'm a head case cuz I've got a physician and an attorney in my immediate family, HAR!

PS I hate my leg
