Good morning :)

Mid-70's today, rain this evening with a slight risk of severe weather.

I have to clean out a closet today. grrr. It's a closet that i use mostly for storage, but i caught a mouse in an electric trap in there yesterday evening, which means i have to take everything out and find and block where it got in. so far no signs of mousies anywhere else indoors.

They are still predicting bad storms for this afternoon. The National Radar looks like the worst will miss us though. So IDK. It looks like most of the worst is further East right now...heading toward Bear's place. I think he's going to get that leaf-clearing wind he's been looking for.

IDK. Glad I don't have to predict the weather. OTOH, it's one of the few jobs that you don't have to be correct about and can just guess all the time. ;)

Indoors-y day here, too, apparently. Rain.

Early rise tomorrow to get car over to detailer... need to get the striping re-done. It had to come off one side due to body work a few weeks ago. So, they'll just do fresh all around. White "pearlescent" on a white car... ghost striping. Looks good. Casino with :censored:-hag friend while they do the work.

So the GF, who is usually too busy to watch TV, is busy working-from-home trying to get caught up. She'd heard that it was supposed to storm, but not really any of the details.

So I'm calling her making sure everything is buttoned down (just a precaution), even though it MAY miss us with the worst part. She says: "When is it going to hit?" and "Oh, I have to drive into work today" and such. Yeah...it's due to "hit" most of this afternoon. Sigh.

I get kinda terse with her about this stuff...."Pay attention! You don't want to be on the roads during the worst of this. Check into it." That's all I/she needs is her driving across town to work in 60 mph gusts in her SUV during a downpour because she's too busy to watch the forecasts. Grrrrrr.

I feel sorry for her that she has to work so much. It's not uncommon for her to put in about 40 hours OT (salaried) in a week and work all weekend too. But she gets a pretty decent salary. And I try to help out around there when I can get time scheduled. But ...wow. Sometimes life just has priorities...like not driving in tornadoes.
