water + acid releases heat; so water into acid causes the small amount of water to flash boil - explode/splatter. Acid into water (slowly) and the water absorbs the heat - no explode/splatter

Just a tad under. I only had 4 or 5 beers (maybe 6-7). I never know because the bartenders never charge me for what I drink. My bill was $10 last night and the average cost for a beer is $4. I think they like me.

Just to clarify, it has a "start button"....a windows logo in the lower left. You can right-click it for quick access to things like "programs and features" or "shutdown".

Left click brings up the metro apps/start screen. You can make the metro background the same as the desktop too for a cool effect.

Right-click on the task bar and go to "properties->Navigation" to set the background and other options.
