Why would anybody want to use it on a back deck???!!! Make a path to the LOUNGE CHAIR???

"Snow Broom". We LOL at that around here.

let go of that tunnel vision, bear! ;)

i always need a path cleared on the back deck - it's the shortest way to geoff and an emergency spot for the girls if all else fails ;)

And yeah blah blah blah about "different parts of the country" and stuff. In those "different parts" it'll all melt in a day or two. Just stay in the house and clean it... or take nap... or shop online. Do some cooking.

stop being so ornery or we'll increase your snow total to 24'' :D

WHATEVER!!!

I am going out-of-doors on Thanksgiving ONLY for Dad... otherwise I'd take my own advice and just stay in. But it's important to him.

Atty's going to tell me I'm wrong (we've been here before)... but "travel holidays" happen how many times a year??? Two? Three??? That's 3/365 ...or <1% of the days in a year... and we have to get CRAP to travel in. That's how I look at it. And on Christmas, Dad has to drive HERE... and that's why I stress so much about that ONE DAY out of the year. Not the shopping... not the cleaning and cooking... but "will he be able to get here safely". (And I worry about the annual "cookout day" in June on Father's Day... is it going to be 90-95 degrees???... that one is for MY comfort.)

stressing out over this ahead of time isn't going to change a thing, bear! yup - the timing couldn't be any worse but hopefully the roads will have been cleared by the time you head out to your dad's!

Unfortunately, my cousin's place (where Thanksgiving dinner will be served) is on a road the municipal plows will NOT venture. It's a 25% grade DOWN to just THREE homes. So, they all chip in to hire a private contractor. I wonder if they have a service guarantee for holidays? Dunno... Anyway, their house may not be there for much longer should the erosion keep pace. In 15 years, the back yard has been reduced to a narrow strip of perilous land overlooking a drop down to the river. WHY they stay there is beyond me. They're NOT hurting for funds.

Mornin, snails!

Remember, try not to get all stressed out and stuffs for Gobble Gobble. :) It's easy for me to be thankful this year - I survived two serious accidents.

Since I'm unable to deep fry the turkey and it'll be a really small gathering at the table, my mom decided to order a pre-cooked spread from a local grocery store.

Bear, you've got a snowchucker!

ETA: frying pans already?!?!
