it'll be bitter cold here too but no precipitation in the forecast when that arctic front pushes through monday night .....
oscar won't arrive in raleigh till 8pm. not sure why since his ride is supposed to leave asheville between 2pm and 3pm. i will make some calls in a bit to get more details

Our rain will last through arrival of the cold front. We''l get a teensy bit of freezing rain and show. Some are predicting a "flash freeze" . We'll be in the 50's today, and the teens overnight. Single digits Monday night and won't get above the 20's before Wed.
Not too cold compared to temps in the NE, but i think there are few in the NE that have their pipes running through an unheated, ventilated crawlspace. Most of my pipes are wrapped, so it's been no problem with a single night where the temps get down to the high teens. For the extended cold period, i'll let the taps drip, and i'll turn on the lights in the crawlspace to hope that gives me a degree or two.

i also intend to let the faucet drip, at least in the office. since i'm there so rarely the heat is set a 60. might be too low to help with the crawl space.
Yeah, I'll be keeping the heat turned up a bit too. I usually set it for 58 at night and when I'm at work, but i'll leave it set at 62 or 63.
Nope. Regular furnace that lives in the crawl space. The ducts are insulated, but i'm sure that there is enough heat loss to significantly warm the space.

The ones I pay attention to are the Tornado warnings and flash floods and stuff. Or huge snow storms/drifting. Otherwise, meh.
I suppose freezing in your neck of the woods is a big thing too. So yeah, that too.
It's so, Atty, I'm sorry to say. Not so much with rain- but definitely with any form of severe weather, or the slightest possibility of severe weather.They're actually downplaying the snow potential- which sort of makes me nervous.
