well, one of the first things you need to know, Mad, is that, avatar not withstanding, Meggers is a guy.

in this case I'm not so sure it's glaringly obvious.
and i shoud have said that Meggers is a great guy, even if he's not here that often.
So, 3 hours after the scheduled time, i finally call the dryer guy. Turns out they had a computer crash and they lost some data. He had no record of ordering the part and he couldn't figure out whether I'd told him to order the part or not because the record wasn't in the computer. Sure would have been nice had he called and asked. He's ordering the part and i get to do this again on Friday afternoon.
At least i got a bit of work done here at home.
