:) :) :)

Back! Another tire quote came in $230 higher than the last!!! Got the car washed, too.

Now to make a couple long-overdue phone calls. On a LAND LINE because I do not own a cell phone. And I am PROUD of it.

Bear, you can borrow mine:

No, but thank you for the offer!!!

Last week, when I took my Dad for his cataract surgery, the waiting room had signs hanging on the walls that CLEARLY said all cell phone use was to be in the foyer or outside. This self-important "businesswoman" obviously thought the signs did NOT apply to her. I removed one from the wall and personally handed it to her while she was yapping away - and in front of everybody else in the room - and then sat back down. It ended right there.

If I had the disposable income to purchase an effective handheld cell phone jammer, I would. I believe the better ones also "disable" GPS devices. Re: GPS... if you do not know where you are going AND how to get there BEFORE you leave the house, then please just stay home. Or print directions from one of the hundreds of mapping sites on the internet.

I do have, and carry on my keychain, a little doohickey that will turn off televisions. It comes in handy, on occasion, when we are seated near a 52" display in a restaurant where the volume is up to 11.
