I always hated reading a book then realizing it was the first of a series - and the rest weren't published yet :grr:

By the time the others would come out, I'd have to re-read the previous one(s) to be able to remember what was going on.

The Wheel of Time series was a good example, I think I gave up after book 4 or 5: The Wheel of Time - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

I read the 1st 5 or so of that myth series....then "moved on" and didn't even realize that there were more. lol. They are hilarious. Puns are great. Totally forgot about them. May have to e-read some or something and then try to catch up. It get's old after a while though. It's been probably 20 years....I'd probably have to start over. Sigh.

They are fast reads. Aahz was great as I remember. Skeeve too.

Example from the wiki:
Ronko: A dimension filled with televisions and advertising.
ROFL.

I've read a lot of them- they're fun. even with the puns. It's funny, i don't mind the puns in there, but the Xanth series puns bother me. I like other books by Piers Anthony, but not the punny ones. (sorry)

(i may quote your recommendation in the deejstuff thread Catt, cause there's a similar conversation going on in that thread too)

Decided to add my :2cents: about foi gras...

Geese aren't my favorite critters, either in the wild or on the plate...but thinking of eating something raised under conditions designed to yield a fatty, enlarged, (unhealthy), liver is...distasteful (besides...do you know what the liver does? .eeeewww)

Morning Pepper.

Off to work.. Have a reasonable day y'all
