Synopsis:

Co-op for 300 "mini" ScubaGen genesis atties - custom made;

What was discovered after ~9 months:
Host's PayPal acct was locked up and co-op members sent additional monies to cover expenses until PP acct was released.
co-op host offered machinist $9500 for the work, he supplied materials and was going to keep what was left over from another $9500.
Host actually didn't pay machinist any money and all the money is gone.

Host also seemed to be inventing the "Ponzi Co-op scheme"; was running other co-ops and seemed to be using monies from one to try and pay for others

j0ker is just going to limit co-ops; hopefully not close them down. No more big or probably custom co-ops anymore.

mini scubagen atty co-op:

Machinist did receive materials and has been working on producing the atties (seems to be mostly done with production, probably 4-8 weeks more to complete the order since this was/is a side job).

j0ker is in touch with the machinist and Mad Murdock has offered to donate a 12L batch of Pluid eliquid (which could contribute $1000s) to help pay the machinist.

thanks Tom for the link. Like I said, I will not get involved with another coop.

And the "Great Mesh Caper" astounds me that someone can join a forum and 2 months later run a coop collecting well over 5k. If I wasn't a honest person, I would be looking to join every e-cig forum to set up fraudulent coops.
