OK, spent the past ~30minutes trying to rebuild my other T3 head :grr:. Actually got it rebuilt yesterday, but the coil was too big, air tube touched it when replaced :glare:. Rebuilt it this morning and ... oh, never mind.

Just ordered a couple of Kanger Evods and extra heads. My Vapor Store - Feb discount 10% (ATJ8).

Also got one of my CHiDs up and running yesterday - still preferring the taste off of the T3 (haven't even messed with the BO-6 much since starting with the T3 :D).

Business class. ISP: Hosted Solutions Provider: Level 3. According to the boss, he says we should have 100 MB guaranteed. Is there a dynamic monitor that can show the availabiltiy at any given time? I ran speed tests etc and that is good info to have, however, when we are getting complaints from remote offices, I want to be able to look right then and see what is used as well as what is available. I realize I can do the math, but I want to see actuals if that make any sense.

You would need to be monitoring your links via SNMP. You could use PRTG (free) to monitor just your edge router/firewall interfaces. It will give you realtime usage of the links.

nope - this morning, much to my surprise, i showed an available 3.1 MB!!!!!! unheard of! but the mifi utilized only a tiny, tiny percentage of that :( and the video i was trying to watch hung badly!

gotta run - will check later!

TIbby....

100% utilization would mean full-goose bozo 100% of the time....like that video you're playing....and nothing else...no pauses, etc.

So people seldom get 100% individually. Just my taking time to type this is a "pause". In fact, the only active time is when I hit "post" for a second.

So ....maybe try ....Internet speed test to see what your throughput is.
Speedtest.net - The Global Broadband Speed Test

P.S.

Yes...I realize that 498Kb is slower than what you wanted. Test it to see the effective speed though to be sure.

Utilization and throughput are not the same thing.

Sounds like signal problems Tibby.

Relocate stuff. Where is the tower compared to you? Is the signal going through the window or the house? Put a sheet of tin foil behind the mifi stuff opposite the tower (not between the mifi and tower). I kid you not...just for a test. But try relocating 1st. Can you move outside temporarily?
