Me too. LOL. Getting old really bites. I have too much to do to be this tired. At least I get to slack on wood duty, getting just enough. It's been to mild for much of a wood fire.

woot for no wood! our ac came on upstairs today - last week we were freezing!

It's not that we've been what you would call warm. Got to 52 today, previous 2 days in the 60's and nights around 40. Too chilly not to have a fire but too warm to have one. GRRRRRRR

Got a small orbital sander (hand held/palm sized) for those cabinets Fran? If not...just look at DH and tell him "Power tools rock", say nothing else, and see what he says.... lol.

When choosing a random-orbit sander, look for a motor size, body configuration, and pad size (5- or 6-inch) that fits your workload. A decent palm-size unit will cost between $50 and $100, while heavy-duty right-angle or in-line ones cost $150 to $200. Whichever type suits you, be sure to get a model with built-in dust control. If you have a shop vacuum, do what Norm does and connect the sander to it. You don't want to breathe in any of the material that these sanders remove so effortlessly.

1) Are you sure 18 hp is enough? Should be...unless you want power attachments for stuffis.
2) 42 inch deck means more passes than the 46+ inch (it adds up)...but fits better between stuff/obstacles. Mine is 42 too....but I only cut an acre not 3...

42'' should be no problem - and i would take a 38'' if it were available, lol! some of my plantings are not all that far apart

the kawasaki should have plenty of power and besides that, i don't plan to run too many attachments. unless geoff wants me to take him for a ride
