No no no... the power-washing strips away all the old stuff.

Done, finally. WHATTA MESS!!! The mulch and wood nuggets around the deck are blown all over the back yard!!! jhca!!! I thought I was close to done with the raking.

I also had him do the north side of the house... it's a great place for mold/moss/"algae" to grow on the siding (like the north side of a tree).

Cat is out, sniffing a lot.

Staining hopefully on Monday. 74 degrees. Two years ago, they stained DESPITE 100% dark clouds. It rained HARD shortly afterward and they needed to come back on their own dime (time and stain). I'm hoping to get three years out of this current job. I probably could have waited one more year... but with the new door and the other landscaping, I wanted it to look really good.

My kitchen island is almost done. Water and drain are hooked up to the sink. We are using a temp counter top. We had an oak top made and the guy is bringing it up tomorrow and will cut out for the sink here. Our sheetrock guy will be here Sunday to tape and mud and I'll do the painting. Then we'll be on to the cabinets..............
