Annoyed now....

there's a spring undergrad version of the course i teach at the beach. I've been trying to get those who had said they would strongly encourage/require their students to take it to and to publicize it to follow through. They haven't. The course isn't making minimum enrollment. I have been sending emails and making phone calls about this for the past MONTH. So, yesterday we decided to cancel it due to lack of enrollment. NOW they're trying a last minute effort to get their students to register. Argh. :facpalm:

but you look forward to the island every spring! :(

I look forward to the island every July. Spring is ok too.

I'm just annoyed because I've been communicating with people for more than a month about this problem. But one day after the decision is made (not by me alone), people that have ignored it so far get involved. and I'm the lucky peon who gets to pull it all back, and then do the last minute organizing if it does make, or communicate to the facility, oops, sorry about the mixed messages if it doesn't make

Just peeking in to say HI as per the request of my "Secret Admirer".

Outside with me in a bit to rake out and re-do two under-tree rings and mow just the bit of the lawn that needs it. I also need to start watering all the areas where they put down topsoil and seed.
