thanks for splainin' that, dear. i thought i had to be really slow to be here. well, i'm kinda slow. but not like a snail. more like a perky sloth :p

She called me "dear". (Bevis and Butthead laugh).

Seriously, no problem. Sometimes we even move real fast. And all are welcome so stick around if you want or pop in whenever.

People come and go.

Sorry Atty, but that is not correct.

Kelli, this thread was started in early 2010, by a member named Martha. It was called "Response on Threads" thread. She wanted to know why some thread questions were left unanswered.

That's what I said! (Except I left out Martha's name) Her 1st post:

How does it make you feel if you post a thread and nobody answers or responds to it. Even in another thread you make a comment or ask a questions and nobody acknowleges it.

I think everybody needs to know that someone is listensing especially for new members. So no matter how insignificant the thread or post may be I think it is a good idea to respond to it. This will make people feel like they are a part of the forum.

It was rather quickly hijacked, with Martha's permission, by a few of us, namely Katmar (the snail), Notsoogood (the turtle) and me (the hamster). Later on, it was nicknamed the "snail thread" after Katmar. The thread (group) grew over the next few months and year. and eventually it became a thread to help new veterans celebrate their becoming veterans.

Thank you Jerry. You keep me on the "straight and narrow". I obviously wasn't here then. So Kelli...see Jerry's comment about the corrected history.

However "Snails" became a group of people watching for slow threads at one point or another! I've talked to em. They had snails in their sigs.......(and you were there). :)

Katmar! Haven't seen her in ages! She was also one of the first (and very vocal) contributors to the Burning thread. ;)

We had fun back then, Tweety. Just Katmar, Notsoogood, me and the occasional visitor. I don't know what happened to Katmar, I know that she wasn't well, so I hope that she is ok.
