Sounds painful but logically it must not be or you'd have said something......
My FIDO has a chipped tooth....I didn't even know it. Doc said it isn't bothering him. IDK what to do because....he may not last long enough to worry about it...but he may too...and I don't want him to have pain either. So will follow up after the current crisis is gone.
Me? They want $1,500 = $2,000 to remove my wisdom teeth....so as soon as I learn how to crap an extra $2,000 I don't otherwise need I'll let them know...
Hope you feel OK Tibby. If you get pain, or think you might, there's a temporary fix. Many drug stores sell a topical anesthetic that you an put on a bad tooth with a q-tip. Would get you through the night if you need it if it starts later...so maybe pick some up now...

i usually don't worry too much about pain, atty - after all, it's temporary
and the tooth isn't giving me a problem but i was put on antibiotics as a precaution. now that i could do without!

The antibiotic is there to make sure you don't get a brain/jaw/etc infection from the tooth being open....
