Snickerdoodle? What? This from Willy Wonka?

I've been around for some time... Apparently, I am the only person on the planet that has no idea of what this is or what mystical cookie this apparently comes from. There are people over at Ms. T's posting fond childhood memories and stories regarding this cookie-thing... This seems to be the most beloved thing on the ECF. I've never seen one in a store... I've never had someone bring them into work... I've never seen a cultural reference on TV or in a book... Lord Byron did not write an Ode to one... Lewis Carroll did not write "Snickerwocky". Angelina Jolie was never in lingerie, eating one in a movie... Bilbo did not nibble one in The Shire...

So how did I miss such a precious childhood snacktacular moment?

it is a cinnamon sugar cookie. you have eaten them without knowing.... sugar cookies you are used to i'm sure are the same thing minus the cinnamon.

Same with me. I ordered it thinking it was going to taste like a Snickers bar. Never heard of a snickerdoodle cookie. Had a deprived childhood I guess.

Snickerdoodles are my favorite cookies...but I come on these forums and see so many people that have never ate one before. It surprises the heck outta me!

Our local 7-11 usually sells fresh ones right by the cashier for $1/3 cookies. Pretty yummy, too. Try them if you see them.

Snickerdoodles are popular cookies. There at least as popular as sugar cookies . Pepperidge farm sell them in like every store . You can get the betty crocker mix in any grocery store,its freaking delicious btw.
