The watts jumping around is the temp control doing its job. It applies power to get it hot, then uses enough to keep it close to where you want it. So watts and temp vary. The ohms change because that is how it measures temp. Resistance goes up with the temp. Sounds right to me.
absolutely right.

Yup, mine does too, and that's exactly what it's supposed to do. As for weak vapor I suspect you have a Tootle Puffing tank, the airflow too restricted or the TC set too low. Tell me more about your setup and let's chat about that. Neither does my battery indicator appear to be out of line. When my VC4 charger says the batteries are full, and I pop them in the mod, the mod thinks so, too (as does my Fluke 87; I check them from time to time). When the mod shows them getting low and I swap them, the charger thinks so too.

The only "odd" thing that the Snow Wolf does is it shows the real-time resistance of the coil. So if you're using a nickel coil and you're vaping on it, the resistance showing on the display goes up. With other temp control mods, this doesn't happen and even though the resistance are in fact going up, the display will still show the "set" resistance for that particular coil.

THANX FOR YOUR REPLY...RUNNING A PROTOTYPE 4ML UNIVERSAL COIL TANK, CURRENTLY USING HORIZON.2 OHM TEMP NICKEL WIRE COIL, GREAT CLOUDS OUTSTANDING FLAVOR ON MY IPV 4...NOT AS GREAT ON SNOW WOLF...EVEN ON MAX TEMP 80 WATTS...bATTERY INDICATOR SEEMS TO INDICATE QUICK DISCHARGING, DIFFERENT FROM WHAT OTHER MODS SHOW WHEN i SWITCH THE BATTERIES AND CHECK THE READING OF SAME BATTS IN OTHER UNITS.

THANX MUCH...IF I UNDERSTAND YOU CORRECTLY THE WOLF ONLY DOES IT WITH NICKEL TEMP COILS, AND WOULD NOT DO IT WITH SAY TITANIUM TEMP COILS...CORRECT?

Max temp? 600 degrees F? You could try cranking up the watts, although you shouldn't need to. All the watts do is provide an upper limit to the total power applied and are mostly good for shortening ramp time. Have you tried a different tank? And maybe you got a bad one, although it will be the first complaint I have heard.

I can assure you that your SnowWolf was never close to it's max wattage nor max temp under temperature control mode.

The IPV4 is limited to 50W in temperature control mode.
The SnowWolf can go up to 70W in temperature control mode.

The max temperature of the SnowWolf is 662F or 350C. A temperature setting that high would have set your wick on fire.

I don't know what you were doing wrong, but you were doing something very wrong if your SnowWolf wasn't equal to your IPV. It's wattage and temperature ranges are both higher than the IPV can achieve.

I've never used titanium coils, but I would assume that it would do the same as titanium also increases in resistance when it heats up, and that's why it works well for temp control. Now it wouldn't do that with kanthal since the temperature curve is much smaller, or if it does, it would change very little.

For example, with the nickel coil on my Snow Wolf currently, when the tank and coil is at room temp, the resistance reads as 0.16 ohms. As soon as I take one vape on it, the resistance jumps up to 0.38 ohms.

Not sure how much I would trust that onboard charging on the IPV4.

SO FAR NO COMPLAINTS OR CONCERNS, NO NEED TO REMOVE CHARGE REPLACE ETC. ALL UNITS SHOULD BE USB CHARGING...WITH ALL THE TECH IN THESE THINGS SHOULD BE AUTOMATIC.
Pass through charging is a horrible idea. It's so much better to have a dedicated charger to charge with. One less thing for the chip to handle, one less thing to go wrong...
