Hi all, I recently went into temp control and was ecstatic when managed to get some Grade 1 Titanium. However, after building and screwing on the tank to my new V1.5 Snow Wolf (SW), it doesn't stay in temp control mode. "Power" takes over the temp display as though I had put on a kanthal build after firing for a while. I've googled to no avail and tried rebuilding the deck but - no results.

Here is the setup if it helps:
tank: Billow V2
Pure "Best Choice" 28ga Titanium wire, Spaced dual coil, 9 wraps each, 2.5mm in diametre.
~0.68 ohms.

I understand there might be flaws in the build (not pertaining to my problem) but I hope we can leave them for another discussion.

I'm trying to avoid nickel at the moment, I know the SW doesn't support Ti but it should at least detect it right? Let me know if I missed out anything or if I can provide more info.

Thanks!

what means???

Oh, pai seh for not being clear. By "doesn't support Titanium" I meant that the way the Snow Wolf interprets ohms to get a temperature reading is configured to Nickel and not Titanium. Thus, you do not get the actual temperature you set when a Titanuim build is put on. I read that Ti is around 60 deg C or 140 deg F warmer. I meant to ask if I have to manually switch it to temp control since it doesn't automatically.

I have noticed Snow Wolves staying in temp control mode with a Titanuim build. (skip to around 3min 04sec).

A .68 build is a bit high for it to detect it as TC?
I dunno?

Thanks! I'll start looking in that direction. Not sure if there is a "max ohm" limit for TC.

It is possible actually. Whats your built? And the size of the Ti? And also the set up you're trying on right now, maybe I or some other members here can help you out!

haha, possible how? The build is in my original post, let me paste it here for you. Thanks!
