Snus is taking care of my WTA maintenance needs, vaping is more occasional now, providing a little nicotine along with the psychological satisfaction of the vapor.

Using snuff is like having dessert after a meal. Snus and vape keep me on a somewhat even keel and the snuff is just plain fun!

My current snuff favorites are the WoS Chocolate/Orange, Apricot and the Honey Bee. Of the ones listed here I really find pleasure from all of them except for the Toque products.

So what snuffs have you sniffed?

Conwood - Peach Sweet, W.E. Garrett Sweet, W.E. Garrett Plain
American Scotches, all are very fine and dry with immediate nic hit

Dholakia - Swiss Chocolate
Like sniffing a fudge brownie!

FUBAR - Shot of Rum
Taste of rum quickly fades, good nic

McChrystals - Original and Genuine
Apparently a classic in snuff circles. Menthol and basic quality tobacco taste

Poschl - Gawith Apricot
Menthol and apricot, balanced

Samuel Gawith - Cherry, Black Coffee
The cherry is sweet cherry. Strong black coffee

Swisher - Honey Bee, Strawberry Sweet
Sweet American Scotches, honey is very upfront, the strawberry is faint

Toque - Chocolate, Whiskey/Honey, Espresso
I have no idea why the Toque brand is so highly regarded. Of the 3 I've tried well, I'll try other Toques when I get them for free.

Wilsons of Sharrow - Apricot, Crumbs of Comfort, Tom Buck, Chocolate/Orange, Lemon Grove, Grand Cairo, Irish High Toast #22
WoS is one of the older brands. I'm not going to even try to break down the ones I've tried because they are all a pure joy to shove up the nose!

OTD.......As I just recieved a new order today,I will update as I go through them.I will(for the moment)share my thoughts of those you mentioned that I have tried as well.

Conwood: Peach Sweet(Not much peach...but very sweet just the same...Very generous in the nicotine Department)

Dholakia: Swiss Chocolate(I think TB described it best...Like sticking your nose in some Swiss Miss...or Ovaltine...Medium nictotine..but very satisfying!)

FUBAR: Shot of Rum(Not sure I am getting a "Rum" taste or not? Seems to be more so than the Wilsons of Sharrow Blackberry and Rum...Flavor lasts a bit longer also...Very good nicotine amount)

Swisher: Honey Bee and Strawberry Sweet(Both of these are simular in taste...although I do detect the Strawberry flavor...not intense..but more in the background.Honey Bee....nuff said...It's sweet as honey...Both contain high amounts of nicotine.Powerful stuff......to be used in small amounts)

Toque: Whiskey and Honey(A personal favorite of mine...I do taste more honey than whiskey....but one leads into the other as it works it's magic...Very satisfying in the nic department.... I guess I am one of the "Crowd" that enjoys Toque snuffs...the only flavor that had not agreed with me is Grapefruit)

Wilsons of Sharrow: Crumbs of Comfort(What a delightful snuff...If one enjoys spearmint that is...it's like a crushed up spearmint tic-tac up the nose...almost hits like a menthol...but is not!) Tom Buck(I have only tried this one once...seems like a citrus/tobbacco flavor)Both have fair amounts of nicotine and are a joy in the nose(LOL).

I will be adding a few of the snuffs I have that were not mentioned another day....Thanks for starting this thread OTD!! :)The Wiz!

Funny thing this snuff. 8 new ones yesterday alone. Over 20 different snuffs in the short time I've been trying it out.

And I've no intents as a hobbyist or collector, just looking for a few to use on a regular basis.

Sounds as though your acquiring a respectable stable yourself Wiz!
OTD....Just like yourself,I am not in the snuff market for the "Collector cans",just trying to find a few that I can stick with on a regular basis without it becoming "Hum-Drum".Just like e-liquid...it's trial and error...Fortunatly enough there is a new snuffer at work with no credit card who takes all the rejects off my hands! Last count(as of yesterday) was 22(with 9 more on order). This will pretty much cover any/all snuffs that I have been wanting to try.All future funds have to go back into my snus stash(running low..LOL):)The Wiz!

OTD, wiz I have a can of rooster and a can of honey bee.... They are the same in nic but not in flavor.

Dholakia swiss is AMAZING!!!
Dholakia coffee limited is ehh beats me but if my coffee tasted like that I would not drink it.
Dholakia black is a treat when my snotbox is not all inflamed stuffed up and angry at me. Very dark black tobacco.

Torque hmm honey and whiskey, quit and bourbon...
H&W is ok nothing like honey bee. Bourbon is like sticking a whisky barrel splinter in your sinus and well the quit is just minty ehh.

I do have some peach sample that I got from my order that is very nice sweet, sledge hammer heavy in nic.

Hey Dred
If you'd like a coffee for the nose try the Samuel Gawith Black Coffee. Several positive reviews prompted me to try it and it is right on for smell. Can't speak to the nic, haven't used it enough to say.

Wiz insists I try the Checkerberry, everyone has me curious about Rooster, so I'll be trying both whenever I do another order.

Dred...You should have ordered the Wow Coffee Bite(Which is a Dholakia product as well),I would drink it every day(twice)in liquid form..LOL...That Peach Sweet is a kicker for sure.

OTD...I will be trying that SG Black Coffee sometime soon...I think I will stick with the Three Thistle over the Rooster....It is described as a toned down version of Rooster...and has plenty of nic for my taste!!:)The Wiz!

There is a BBQ chain here called buster's and lemme tell you the rooster smells like their bbq minus the meat.

Soo if three thistles is a calmer version I might give it a shot.
Dred...I have not tried Rooster yet...Just going by what I have read in reviews...The Three Thistle does pack quite a punch...and very heavy on the BBQ flavor!! By God I love it!!:)The Wiz!

...I found this strange and unlikely word in your post. Should we move it to a2d's "1st" thread. Just doesn't sound like a statement from someone I had pictured as alliigator wrestler :D.

Hmm Not into the burning bbq pit from hell action all the time, and I do find rooster kills my sense of smell for a good chunk of time. It is a not at work snuff, I need my snotter to smell for burnt smells.

I see, no, not good. I also need my senses pretty well in tact for work. So far, I've only used the Bruton Scotch. I like the sorta blandness of it for that very reason, but I'd like something with more kick. I decided my next purchase would be Rooster, but sounds like not such a good idea, now. Looked up some others and found CC Carhart with a 18.84 nic level and Red Seal with 18.83. Puts it up there with the Rooster, but now I'm concerned about the BBQ take-over. Any experience with either of these? Looking for extreme nic without extreme flavor .

Hey TV
I just got some WE Garrett Plain a day ago. This has PLENTY of nic and it really gives the BBQ flavor that is referenced so often.

Puts me in mind of the smokey bite from a piece of good smoked salmon. For me at least the flavor hit from the Garrett fades in a short amount of time.

So far of all the snuffs I've tried they all have the ability to mask your sense of smell for a period. One history a read made mention that snuff was used for just that reason by police and morticians to help combat the smell of decomp!

Ok, quick fading is fine by me. Hadn't concidered the dead body connection. Not a bad idea, as I've been around a few, though, this also fades with exposure.... Any idea on the nic strenght? My Bruton snuff is 17.66mg and the Rooster and co. are in the mid 18's. Might be splitting hairs, but the more toxic the better ;).

Even smoking analogs by the packs did not numb the snotter enough to not be effective but the rooster masks the burnt electric corrosion scent enough to make me wonder.
Yeah, familiar with that...so acrid :p. I don't think there's any hope of overcoming that. It tends to dig in deep...sorta like pig $#!t.

Can't answer that one Twisted. Ever since you first started citing specific measured nicotine levels I've been looking around. US Smokeless is the only manufacturer I've found that has the specific measurements your after.

Weird.

I'm satisfied with the trial and error method to find what works but it would be nice to be able to actually compare apples to apples.

Anyone ever found tables of nicotine content for nasal snuff?

Beuller?...

Last order included a tin of Grand Cairo. Not really clear if this an Sp or Scented or a scented SP, phooey. Still way to new to understand the classifications really.

The stuff is an average medium grind and I s'pose what is considered medium moist. Very easy to take by pinch or off the back o the hand.

Next to no burn but scent out the wazoo! All the reviews make mention that this is a "complex" snuff. Okey dokey.

I get citrus and bergomot and mebbee lavender. That's the immediate take. After a few minutes it all settles down to something akin to a lightly rose scented soap or body powder kinda scent.

Twixt the scent and medium range nic this is a very comforting snuff. I'll certainly get it again.
