Hi C and all, C - hope you have a good trip and you'll have to fill us in when you get back from France!

More research at snuffhouse.org and I'm going with the grinder from Amazon: Amazon.com: Krups GVX2-12 Burr Grinder: Kitchen & Dining

Funny, the link has it for Krups 14 and it comes up #12. Pretty expensive, but I just got a Birthday gift certificate, so it won't be bad...free shipping and here in a few days.

The main reason I don't think I should get a grinder from overseas is because so far I've had two semi-open/torn packages courtesy of the Post Office. :D And I'm pretty sure anything plastic might not make it in one piece.

Yea, so I'm on my way to grinding up Rustica leaves soon!

Not a bad price for a bur grinder.

I sift and regrind and motar and sift and regrind... Labor of love.

I hope C is not having flight problems due to the ash cloud... Banzaf needs to stop eating all those cheese burgers.

From Grinder to Grounded, huh?

Nah, we just had boat problems - we were bussed from one port to another this morning but then ran into all the stranded air passengers converging by car or coach on the ferry terminals. No trains running in France owing to strike action. Anyway a one hour journey became a 13 hour one ending up on a packed ferry and I am home now but pretty tired and fed up.
Off to work at 7 a.m. tomorrow, so just saying hi and reading all the posts I missed - wow you have been really busy buying bulk snuff et cetera...

:)

Nah, no time to rest. I met some friends who found they had to hire cars and drive back some hundreds or thousands of miles from their various air destinations. Now for me that would have been real suffering. I expect to hear some genuine tales of serious woe tomorrow at work, if I can keep my eyes and ears open and not sleep through all the meetings.

Cocoa time,

:)

Hi C, I was thinking about you yesterday as the news was showing all the airports having big problems...trains and ferries full. Anything to get to where they want/need to go. Sorry, you got caught in it. But, I didn't hear about the train strike in France...what a mess. Well, rest up.

I'm just sitting here sampling all the WOS that I do have...so enjoyable.

The new Sharrowmills website sounds like a great hit - I'll have to have a look at it tomorrow evening. Hope they do more offers again soon, I can't afford any more snuff this month!

Well we were only briefly caught up. Some dire tales of people having to buy second hand bikes, (even kiddies' ones!) in order to get on to ferries where there were only tickets left for folks with bikes.

Haven't noticed any Krakatoa like sunsets yet. Don't think we had much ash down here yet. Loved Dred's joke re Banz-boy. :)

More cocoa needed,
Had a lot of snus today sitting about in ferry terminals with loads of bored and cross passengers. Lucky I had plenty with me!

Till tomorrow,

C.
